For 10,000 years man has had a domestic companion in his journey through the cosmos. In fact, he’s had two. Humanity is not one species; there are cat people and there are dog people.

Cats are better than Dogs
So being the argumentative type, I’ve mapped out a whole load of arguments why cats are better than dogs – which are:
- Cats are the ultimate low maintenance pet AS there are no walkies, no leashes – and with a cat flap – they can basically come and go as they please. A bit like teenagers!
- Cats are smarter than dogs AS let’s be blunt cats are cunning and dogs are dumb – and who wants a stoopid pet!
- Cats are sexy AS from the Siamese to the Siberian Tiger cats are undoubtedly sexy. Their sleek fur and graceful poise make clear why we have fashion catwalks and not dogwalks!
Dogs are better than Cats
And I’ve also mapped out some arguments why dogs are better than cats!
- Dogs are social and affectionate AS undoubtedly a dog’s a man’s best friend – for example, dogs will happily lick and jump all over their owner when they come home from work!
- Dogs are useful AS dogs are easily trained. Did you know Pickles the dog found the World Cup Football when it was stolen in 1966?
- Dogs are loyal AS dogs will always help their owner if they’re in trouble – for example, in World War 2 dogs won 18 Dickin Medals for bravery compared to 1 cat!
