The Beatles are best

So as a taster of arguments linked to this Beatles or Stones debate,  here are a few  arguments arguing that the Beatles are the greatest band (ever!):

The Beatles influence was/is MASSIVE! - AS in the same way that no writer can escape Shakespeare, no band can escape the influence of the Beatles!

The Beatles were the greatest pop-composers AS Lennon and McCartney created the first great masterpieces of pop!   They even wrote the Rolling Stone’s first top 10 hit “I wanna be your man”!

The Beatles simply outsold the Stones AS the total number of records the Beatles has sold is over 1 billion units (e.g. CD’s, vinyl, downloads) compared to the Stone’s 200 million.

The Stones are best

The stones were more successful than the Beatles live - AS the Stone’s gig’s were legendary – for example in 2007 they grossed $437 on their Bigger Bang Tour.

The Stones were real musicians - AS – when it comes to riffs, the Stones win hands down.  Keith Richards is known as the Human Riff – and no reason – for example Satisfaction and Jumpin’ Jack Flash are both classics!

The Stones were rock n roll - FACT!  AS the Stones lived the true sex drugs and rock n’ roll life!
